Eastern Bluebird
A heart-stoppingly beautiful bird I never tire of photographing. Luckily they are again plentiful here in Darien. Local golf courses and home owners have helped in the comeback by providing nest boxes for these cavity nesting insectivores .
In
time these birds become quite tolerant of people and
allow observers close approaches.
This is fortunate because they
are quite small.
Bluebird trails require care but the rewards are great.
